Regulation of single-use plastic

A new Presidential Decree has been published approving regulations on the production, import, marketing and use of single-use plastic products and materials.

The Regulation, which came into force on 22 September, aims to progressively reduce the use of disposable plastics, encourage the use of reusable, biodegradable and compostable alternatives, and protect ecosystems, ensuring better living conditions for the population.
