Lawyer Elsa Tchicanha, a member of the PLMJ Colab network, has written an opinion article for the newspaper Mercado on the compulsory vaccination programme imposed by the Angolan State.
The lawyer explains that "the State has not only sought to put direct pressure on the population to get themselves vaccinated, but it has also created a mechanism that involves employers by giving them a supervisory role. Non-compliance on the part of employers, which may translate into a failure to monitor the number of workers vaccinated or to allow them access to the workplace, constitutes a crime of disobedience".
